What We Do

The advent of Artificial Intelligence has spurred the development of products that require secure and fast wireless connectivity. As a world-leading AIoT platform, Espressif Systems provides millions of users with a variety of secure AIoT solutions. Additionally, by leveraging advanced technology nodes, low-power computing, wireless communication, as well as mesh technology, we create high-performance chipsets and modules that are more intelligent, adaptable and versatile.

We work closely with our customers to enable wireless connectivity for their products by developing software solutions that optimize performance and reduce development time. Espressif’s chips, modules and development boards are widely deployed in such products as home appliances, light bulbs, smart speakers, consumer electronics and payment terminals.

With our open-source software, such as Espressif's IoT Development Framework ESP-IDF, Audio Development Framework ESP-ADF, Mesh Development Framework ESP-MDF, Device Connectivity Platform ESP RainMaker, Facial Recognition Development Framework ESP-WHO, and Smart Voice Assistant ESP-Skainet, we have developed a framework for building AIoT applications, which is both complete and innovative. Espressif also supports many open-source projects in the maker community. We believe in the democratization of technology that will develop tomorrow's AIoT society.

Vision and Mission

Espressif is committed to bringing AIoT to its customers and developers, commercial and non-commercial alike, by open-sourcing its technology and solutions, so that developers from all walks of life can use this technology to solve some of the most pressing problems of our times.

Espressif is dedicated to the research and development of green technology. We create AIoT solutions that help reduce energy consumption and material waste. With our low-power and highly integrated chipsets, we minimize the use of such extra components as resistors, capacitors, inductors, switches, baluns and power management chips, as well as the waste of printed circuit boards.

Espressif is known for its keen sense of corporate social responsibility, having long supported green / low-power technologies and having based its entire business model on open-source software and the democratization of technology. At present, we are deeply concerned about climate change, which has been the result of human actions in recent decades. In an effort to raise public awareness of this crisis, Espressif launched a wildlife protection program in 2020, which draws on the environmental insight brought about by The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™. Ever since, Espressif has been donating the quarterly proceeds from development boards included in this wildlife protection program to the IUCN.

The popularity of our products has stimulated an increasing number of authors who have produced teaching resources based on Espressif chipsets, in English, Chinese, German, Portuguese, Japanese and Serbo-Croatian, amongst other languages. Our IoT College webpage presents the most important ones. Espressif's official book, 'ESP32-C3 IoT Engineering', quickly gained popularity among university students and faculty. At the same time, we promote STEM education and sponsor all-inclusive outreach educational ICT programs in China, Singapore, India, Czechia and beyond. We take pride in learning about the achievements of students using our boards at prestigious Universities all around the world.

Espressif supports College programs that are relevant to the development of the semiconductor industry. Hence, we have established "Espressif Scholarships" that are awarded to outstanding students who are interested in working in the semiconductor industry after their graduation. Espressif scholars specialize in analog circuits, digital, software development, AI algorithms and other such fields that are highly sought-after in the semiconductor industry.
